Over 600 shows and events per year; from Madonna to Mixed Martial Arts to Disney on Ice and everything in between. Gillett Entertainment Group fills the Bell Centre when the Canadiens are on the road, as well as other venues around Quebec, the Maritimes, and the U.S. Northeast. GEG needed a website that would be able to not only display this information, but that would allow GEG staff to really take control. They turned to Plank, and we can proudly say, mission accomplished.
Start with the clean, elegant design that also elicits coolness and style. The site appeals to everyone, from fans of New Kids on the Block to fans of Neil Young. The site is also designed to present as much information as possible, while at the same time not overwhelming the site visitor and focusing messages as needed.
While the design is outstanding, the site really takes off when you look under the hood. The site is designed so as to give GEG as much control as they need; it truly empowers the client. Sure, the client can control the content and enter event information, but any CMS can do that. What sets the GEG system apart is its ability to associate events with other events, and site users with their own tastes. GEG has control over ad placement, and customized email lists. All of this has one purpose and one effect - selling more tickets. And it works.
But this is just the beginning. In the very near future, great new features will be added. Even more exciting for the future is the ability to have personalized GEG sites for site visitors. Depending on a visitors location and tastes, different event information will be displayed. The ultimate personal shopper.
