The mini-application searches the twitter api for the keywords " fitc, fitc09 ,fitc2009, fitctoronto, torontofitc " every 5 seconds, and dynamically updates the page. No refresh required.
The application is built on jQuery the Juitter" jQuery Twitter plugin.
