A few months ago, over a coffee with my colleague and old summer camp friend, Mark Goren, we got to talking about the benefits of holding small intimate breakfast get togethers. We thought it would be something useful
for our friends, partners and clients to learn about different internet related issues and topics.
While I’m personally not a morning person, I thought it was a great idea and something that Plank could tackle. We agreed that Mark should be our inaugural speaker and he would talk about something he was passionate about, how to understand Social Media Big Data.
Mark, who works at Nexalogy Environics walked through some of the benefits of Big Data and how it is having an impact on our digital world. He also showed us some specific case studies where Social Media Big Data was used to learn about different topics and how companies and brands used that intelligence.
Edition #2 is in the works and we have already booked our second speaker and we were are confident that this will be another event worth attending. Let’s just say its a hot topic and something that would be of interest to Lawrence Lessig or even Edward Snowden.
